New Year, New Us

The start of a new year always brings reflection, and this year we found ourselves asking a simple question: does our website still feel like us?
Luna Roaches has grown a lot since we first launched. Our operation, our standards, and our community have all evolved, and at some point we realized our website needed to evolve with us too. Not because anything was broken, but because growth sometimes calls for a reset… and maybe a fresh coat of paint.
A Fresh Look That Feels More Like Us
When we decided to redesign the site, we also realized something important: our website should reflect us as people, not just what we sell. Chris and I are a barrel of fun and laughter most days, and while we take our work seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously.
Shopping for feeder insects does not need to feel sterile or stiff. We leaned into visuals that feel lighter, friendlier, and honestly just more fun to look at. The goal was a site that makes you smile a little while still finding exactly what you came for. Bugs can be professional and enjoyable.

A Fresh Look, Same Values
We redesigned Lunaroaches.com with clarity and ease in mind. Fewer clicks, clearer information, and a layout that makes sense even before the coffee kicks in.
Behind the scenes, nothing about our standards changed. We are still the same small, hands-on operation focused on healthy discoid roaches, careful packing, and honest communication. The refresh was about alignment, not reinvention. The roaches are still doing roach things.
Improving How Reviews Work
Another big change was our review system. Reviews matter to us because they tell the real story of how our roaches arrive, how our customer service feels, and what it is actually like to order from us.
As we grew, our old system no longer felt like the best fit. We moved to a new review platform that is simpler, more transparent, and easier for customers to use. Less friction, more honesty, and fewer hoops to jump through. Everyone wins.
Looking Ahead: Growing With Intention
As we move into the new year, our focus is shifting even more toward intentional growth, starting with what we feed our roaches. We are working toward making our feed inputs as organic and clean as possible, growing more of it ourselves, and staying close to every step of the process.
We are also developing a new product we have been quietly working on. It is designed to support healthier gut-loading and more natural feeding behavior, and it has involved a lot of research, testing, and watching roaches enthusiastically chew things. We are excited to share more soon.
To support this direction, we made a big investment and brought a small Subcompact tractor onto the property. That tractor means a longer growing season, more food grown in-house, and fewer excuses not to plant “just one more row.” From soil to roach to reptile, we like knowing exactly what goes into the system.

Sometimes You Just Need a Change
None of these updates were driven by trends or pressure. They came from listening, learning, and being honest about what fits and what does not anymore. Growth has a way of nudging you forward, sometimes gently, sometimes with a tractor!
We are proud of how far Luna Roaches has come and deeply grateful for the community that supports us. The new site reflects who we are now: thoughtful, intentional, a little playful, and always committed to doing things the right way.
Thank you for being part of our journey, whether you have been with us from the beginning or are just finding us. New year, new look, same values, and still a whole lot of bugs. :)
