Hello there, it's been a while!

This morning I got up for the second day in a row I got to open my windows and let fresh air flow through the house. I love this time of the year when the mornings are not so stifling hot, the humidity does not cling to you and it almost feels like Autumn is in the air. That is... until you see Chris walking into your office like this...

Being a lifelong Floridian Chris compares this to the harsh winters of Alaska and is all but yelling "Winter is coming!!" and while he may be bundled up, you'll notice the Florida afternoon assemble on his bottom half LOL

After last week I really needed this weather and a good laugh. Last week has been the most stress I've felt in a long time. While we at least get time to prepare for Hurricanes (unlike Tornados or Earthquakes) the anticipation, the preparations, the uncertainty and stress of these weather events can bring anyone to their knees. We got lucky and thankfully due to a "Mote" we had put into place last year, our 8 inch high flooded yard drained within the time span of 2 hours once the rain stopped.

Unfortunately many other people did not get this lucky and our hearts go out to the families who lost lives, their entire homes and posessions.

While we had "vacation time" scheduled, there was too much to do here to get off our property and enjoy some downtime. We had our garden to till and prepare for planting, we're getting plants into the ground, the Chicken coop and the barns needed a good cleaning, canning and baking needs to be done, and since we've made the decision to switch shipping boxes to non vented window ones since the temperatures dropped so much at night, Shipping Box prep was on the menu as well.

As we did the previous two years, we've decided that we will stop shipping to outside of the State of Florida on November 1, 2022 and resume shipping to the rest of the continental US on April 1, 2023. If you are a Florida based Customer, for you nothing will change and we will continue to ship Luna Roaches Discoids to you weather permitting. However, if you live outside of the State of Florida, the last day we're shipping to you this year will be Monday October 31, 2022. We will resume shipping orders outside of Florida in the Spring when we feel we're safely back to Bug traveling temperatures. So remember, please get your orders in by October 31, 2022 - no exceptions. (Our current out of State subscription holders will be addressed on a one by one basis.)

We will post our Holiday Shipping schedule next month along with anything else relevant to the Holiday season. For the moment we really just want to enjoy the Fall like weather here in Florida!

As of this morning our Store is back online and shipping will resume on Monday October 10, 2022. Breeder Kits are also back in the store. With colder months approaching our Roaches WILL get finicky about breeding as they are simply not fooled by the artifical heat we try to maintain during the winter months and Mother Nature will take over regardless and slow down their breeding cycles. Availability will be accordingly, however with 2 full barns we hope this won't impact us much. We're also better prepared for potential feezing spells with the new Heat/AC systems installed in both barns earlier this year so we should be pretty safe should it get super cold again.

That said, I should really get back outside before the Mosquitos are too bad and eat me alive! We hope you have an amazing weekend :)

Much Love and Pumpkin Pies!
