So what's new at Luna Roaches?

Updated: Oct 17, 2019

As Summer has winded down and Pumpkin Spice Season has officially begun, our Roach Barn has not slowed down and we're busting at the seams with Discoid Roaches! While that is certainly time consuming, we still had some time to come up with new and what we hope exciting ideas. So let's get right to it!

Free Roaches!

We're giving away free Roaches! Every Thursday night we're going to put up a question related to Discoids and/or Luna Roaches!

Rules: 1. You can only give one answer - no edits to your answer please. 2. The first correct answer wins. 3. If no one guesses correctly we'll put all the participants name in a Luna Roaches Bag and draw a name.

And that's it! Come and play with us, every Thursday night at 5pm EST on Facebook!

PS: Feel free to share this to your Reptile groups, the more people play the more fun we'll all have!

Luna Roaches Exotics Rescue Donation Program

We've started Luna Roaches in January 2019 and you, the Reptile and Insect Community have embraced us since Day 1 so now it is time for us to give back!

We are happy to introduce the LUNA ROACHES EXOTICS RESCUE DONATION PROGRAM!

Here is how this will work. Every month we will pick a Rescue Program that we feel would benefit from our Program. We will feature that Rescue on our Facebook and Website and at the end of the month we will send them 1 Dollar from every Order we have received as well as a Pack of Roaches. We realize one Dollar isn't the world but we also figured that every bucks helps!

If you are a Rescue Organization that would be interested please head over to and fill out the Application.

Our pick for Exotics Rescue of the month of October

We'd like to introduce our pick for Exotic rescue of the month - Scaly Hearts Reptile Rescue!

We've been following these guys for quite some time and the work they do is absolutely amazing! We will donate $1 of every order we've received and are receiving in October to Scaly Hearts Reptile Rescue as well as a big order of free Roaches if they'd like it :)

Their Bio: We began in December 2015 after realizing the huge need for rescue in the Kansas City area. What we didn’t realize at the time was we were the only rescue in the entire state of Kansas at the time. We moved back to Florida in April 2019 and have been working toward reopening the rescue. We made the move with a several rescues who are long term and permanent members of our family due to their conditions or inability to be handled. We take in surrenders who are abused, neglected, abandoned, ill, and who can no longer be cared for by their owners. We rehabilitate if necessary, provide housing, food, medical care, and socialization until loving forever homes can be found. We also provide educational programs to the community, one of our favorite things to do aside from rescue, offering others the opportunity supervised hands-on interaction with animals they may only read about in books or see on television.

You can also find them on Facebook here!

Their fundraiser page is located here if you would like to help them out: https://www.facebook.com/donate/2574090852611318/

Upcoming Autumn and Winter

Since we're feeling the Halloween spirit we thought we would share and will be sending all larger order Roaches in appropriately colored ORANGE Organza bags! That's probably not something you ever notice or pay attention to but Mel is a stickler for details, soooo Orange bags it is! ;)

Please also know for those of you in the colder winter states we WILL ship as long as it does not get below 20 degrees. At that point even our packaging methods become useless against the cold so please check your nighttime temps during those days before ordering.

New Pack

We've added a new product to our lineup, the "Lots of Lovin" Discoid Roaches pack! 250 Luna Roaches just for you! Find more information here

You can get them in 2 sizes because poor Chris has to hand pluck them all from the bins! 1/2 inch and up or 1/2 inch or less sizes.

And that's about all that is happening around here. Back to figuring out where we're going to stick all the new bins we have to set up...

Have a wonderful October!
