As we're closing out 2023 we realized that we've just completed Year 5! Wow, we've been fortunate enough to do this for five years!
We feel so blessed and often proclaim to anyone who will listen that we truly have the BEST CUSTOMER base on the planet! We are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey we've embarked upon. Working with Discoid roaches may not be the conventional path, but it has been a truly enriching experience for us.
The challenges we've faced over the past 5 years have been instrumental in our growth. From managing the intricacies of breeding and care, customer service, shipping, and everything else that goes along with this, each hurdle has been a valuable lesson. It's in overcoming these challenges that we've honed our problem-solving skills and developed a deeper understanding of the Feeder insect landscape. We made it through a move, Covid, various health issues, surgeries, personal challenges and a recession, and are incredibly grateful that we're still going strong.
We are also thankful for the social community that has formed around our Discoid roaches venture. The shared passion for these creatures has connected us with like-minded individuals, has spawned many small businesses and fostered a community that not only makes the business more enjoyable but also creates a network of support that is invaluable.
On a more personal front, we have made great strides in our Homesteading journey with the goal of eventually producing all of our own, our Reptiles as well as our Roach food. We are growing the right things (gardening and growing things in Florida involves a lot of experimentation LOL) and bought a freeze dryer so we can preserve as much as possible. We're happy that we were very successful with our quest for more self-reliance this year.
And so as this year comes to a close, Chris and I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your business support, loyalty, and friendships, to the almightly for blessing us with each other for neither of us could imagine a better life and business partner, and to our very prolific Discoid Roaches without none of this would even be possible ;)
