I got a breeder kit in late may, they have been doing well but today I saw what looked to be mold in the middle of the substrate. I transferred all the egg crates and adult to a new bin, I also discovered we had babies! I sifted through and collected all the babies I could. In doing this I picked up one adult that, almost like butter, fell in half. Inside were very small, white, worms. Almost like maggots. There is one other adult that is very lethargic and hardly moves in my hand. All others seemed to be on good health. I still have the separate bin with substrate and the two presumed infected. Any ideas on how to prevent this?
My colony is about 3 months old. There are babies, and some of them are quite big, but its hard to find them. They're certainly not swarming all over the egg crates like I see in the pics. When is a good time to start using them as feeders?
I have had my Skeleton Crew for about two months, and they have begun having their babies. I never thought I'd be so excited about cockroaches lol. Although I don't see a ton yet, some of them are actually a decent size, med/large. When can I start using them as feeders?
